one of the last times i was home i got to spend some time with the one and only John Lamb. John is by far one of my favorite people on the planet. i have had the pleasure of knowing him for the past 18 or so years and only wish we got to see each other more often. he is a fantastic writer and wonderful story teller. an all around amazing man and dear friend. this picture was made one morning when my sister and i were invited over for a bite to eat with john and his lovely mother. John dressed for the occasion.

i’ve been digging around in old archives of images lately and stumbled upon a lot i had forgotten about.

a while back i was in san diego for my father’s 65th birthday. always amazing to see my family as we are all scattered across the states and do not get to see each other very often. the weather was lovely but the company even better. these are some pictures i made on that trip.

as always, thank you for stopping by.

the good old days when you used to use polaroids to test your lighting. when i was in school i had the pleasure of studying under Dana Smith. I am a huge fan of the man and of his editorial and personal work. if you don’t already know his work i suggest you take a few moments and check it out (http://www.danasmithphotography.com). these are a few polaroids taken to show a lighting demo. i always liked them and as you can tell by the scratches and finger prints, i have held on to these for a while.

thanks for stopping by.

sometimes i get the opportunity to watch peoples animals while they are away. when this happens, i take that opportunity to make pictures in a new setting. i made these two polaroids in my friend eric’s place while he was away somewhere fabulous. i fell in love with the mural.
